Scripts
The following scripts may be used freely, and without royalties.
They are three of which I am particularly fond, as I enjoy the use of imagery.
Hope you enjoy them.
Note: If you are going to make a tape, never use it when driving a
car or operating machinery.
The following script could be used for creativity as well as
looking beyond one's current limitations.
The Circus
Have I told you about the young man who wanted to explore
the circus He wanted to look at the performances of all the acts... the
elephants... the lions... the beautiful acrobats twirling high above
the rings. Yet this young man could not do what he had wanted to do. He
looked at the rings and remembered what he had been told... that the
center ring is always the best ring and thought he had to stay with that
one... to keep well within that one. He moved to that ring. He
wondered about everything moving about him the blur of motion above and
beside the ring. In the audience In the other rings as well. But he
was standing at the center ring.. and did not leave it. He thought it
was a good place to understand. He thought that it was the only right place
to be. He knew from what he had always read and been told about the circus
- that the center ring was always best. So he stayed there, unable to
look beyond what he saw right there. He occasionally wondered what the
rest of the audience saw. He saw them look up, but he knew he was in the
right place. He saw the audience look to the other rings, But he knew
that they could not be seeing the best of the circus there. The
audience was looking at the twinkling lights above the ring Glittering like
so many stars in the sky. But the young man did not see them... he only
looked within the center ring. The clowns who roamed the audience made many
children happy.. and the parents laughed in merriment But the young man
didn't see the humor in this because they were beyond the ring... beyond
his experience. But interestingly enough, the woman who was riding a
white Arabian stallion bareback within the ring caught his interest.
She was beautiful beyond what he had ever seen she smiled a knowing
smile and nodded his way. While she performed her act... the young
man watched her intently. She was costumed in white satin, and her
costume gleamed in the spotlights pure and shining. Then, upon a cue in
the music, the bareback rider's horse leaped over the ring and moved
to the next ring. The young man was astonished. She went to the next
other ring, and he didn't think she should do that. After all, the
center ring was best. He began to wonder... really wonder... why
she would do that. Did she have a reason? Was there something better
there? Was there something beyond the center ring that he had not seen
before? The young man wondered, and then followed the bareback rider
to the far ring. He followed her gaze as she looked up at the top of the
tent. He was surprised to see the acrobats there, leaping and spinning on
ropes. He looked at the ring below.. and saw that there were beautiful
dancers moving about and a lion tamer with a magnificent lion. He
wondered why he had missed all of this... Why he had not looked at the
possibilities in the other rings. He began to look about... and
realized there was much more to the circus than he had thought... more than
was in just the center ring. He opened his eyes and his mind to the
music... the lights.. the movement... and began to smile... and thoroughly
enjoyed what he had discovered. Just as you can wonder... You can open
your mind to many possibilities you might see the magic of small
things... and of large things as well.. As you open your mind, you can
see... you can hear... you can feel... when you see, feel and hear,
you can wonder about what lies beyond what is magic in complexity
and what is magic in yourself. What is magic in a circus under the big
top and in stepping beyond an unending ring to possible futures.
Looking beyond the limitations we set for ourselves and those set by
others in new and different ways... To know what it means to open up to
the magic discovering that there are new possibilities new ideas
like a fresh breeze New thoughts leaving those preconceived ideas
far behind. And as you move on... you can find there can be many
truths but remember that you might not have considered there are no
ultimate truths no ultimate lies and the magic of it all is that
it is all magic...

The Kite
A young boy heard about a competition for flying kites Each
person was required to make his own kite and fly it. He talked about this
with his friends at school, and they laughed. They said, you can't do
this, you'd never win. You know nothing about making kites. You can't run
with a kite. You don't know how to fly a kite. You know nothing about
it. Why bother? The boy was saddened, and thought perhaps they were
right. Still, as he thought about it, he knew that he wanted to win. He
went to the library and read books on kite making. He went to the store
and bought blue china silk, bamboo sticks, string, and the other
materials he needed for the kite. He made a pattern and cut the silk for
the kite and the tail. He created the frame out of the bamboo sticks and
glued it together. Finally he fastened the tail and the string. He sat
and stared at the finished kite but was afraid to test it on the
wind. When it was time for the competition, the boy took the kite to the
field. Other children looked at his kite with disdain. His kite was just
plain blue, while their kites were garishly painted to be easily seen in the
sky. The boy was inwardly hurt that the others laughed, but still, he
moved to the starting place. Some of the others looked at his kite, so plain
and ordinary and snickered. Many boys said their kites were best, and
that the others could forget it right now. But the boy stood
quietly, unspeaking, waiting for his time. When the time came, he held up
his kite and began to move. The faint breeze caught the silk, and he
let it go and played out some of the string. The kite began to rise. He
moved further back, pulling on the string, but the kite began to dip and
fall. He quickly tugged on the string again, and the kite once again
caught the wind and began to rise. Over and over, this pattern repeated,
falling and rising again. But each time, the kite moved a little higher
in the sky. Slowly, the line of string played out. There were brightly
colored kites all about. Some with dragons, some with airplanes, many other
designs and colors. His, by far, was the plainest. Yet, there was
simplicity in his kite. He saw two of the kites crash into each other, and
he quickly moved his line to avoid getting entangled as they fell to
earth. As he continued to fly his kite, he saw that it was moving higher
and higher. And he began to feel a quiet excitement. Again and again,
kites fell to earth, but his rose higher. Finally, at last, his kite rose to
the end of his string, higher than any other kite, and caught the high wind
and stayed there. A cloud moved from in front of the sun, and the
sunlight illuminated the kite which shone like a brilliant sapphire in the
sky. When the contest ended, officials awarded his kite the champion
title, and he smiled.
Taste Intensity Script
I've been doing weight management with
clients, and wanted to share something with you that I have developed. In your
script, or while the client is in hypnosis, try something like this:
You know that your brain is very powerful and that all sensory stimulation
is interpreted in the brain. If you stub your foot, if you smell a
flower, if you eat a piece of candy, it is all interpreted in your
brain. Your brain has the ability to remember a sensation. Your brain can
recall the smell of a flower or perfume, Your brain can recall the taste of
a particular food. And you can begin to recall the taste of (favorite
food). (Whatever that is, you would know by now) Now, imagine
intensifying that flavor.... Consider how strong the flavor of a condensed
soup is, How intense the flavor of concentrated orange juice is, and
intensify the flavor of (favorite food) in the same way in your
mind. Make it stronger... wonderfully stronger. Take the time to let this
happen in your mind. Your brain can do this. You might recall the first
time you ate (favorite food). You might recall the last time you ate
it, Letting that instance become very real In your memory.
You
might feel your mouth begin to water as you can recall the taste in your
mind. Now, consider that since you have the ability to intensify the
flavor of a bite of food, How easy will it be for you to do that The
next time you have a bite of (favorite food)? Since your brain knows that
flavor, Intensifies that flavor, You can hold on to that flavor for as
long as you like. And since all of the flavor is interpreted by your
brain, in your brain, In the first few bites, That's enough to send that
signal to your brain. Your brain already knows the flavor, And you can
let it work for you. After a bit, you will find that the flavor
of additional bites will not be as intense, may not be as pleasurable to
you As the first few bites of (food) were. The intensity of flavor will
wear off. You want to enjoy the taste as long as possible. So, it would
be fine for you to really truly savor the first bites of whatever you
wish to eat, and when the intensity of flavor drops off After the first
few bites, Then it is time to stop, push it away because your brain
already knows the taste. you've had enough for now. And it is fine for
you to know That you have the control, And why waste your time On
flavors that are not as good, less intense. The first few bites is where the
flavor is. So when you chose to have a few bites Of (favorite food), you
can really savor, Really enjoy that (favorite food) Knowing that just a
few bites is enough, And that you can just turn up that flavor And let it
last with you So that you are satisfied with The few bites you
need For taste.
That's a rough version, please feel free to use
it in any way that you wish. The concept is that when they turn up the
flavor, it lasts and lasts, and to keep stimulating with the same flavor is a
waste. So stop when the flavor drops off, and thus, they are eating less. More
importantly, it is not a denial of anything. It is more of a control that they
do themselves. |
